PURPOSE OF THE COLLECTION, PROCESSING, AND USE OF PERSONAL DATA
We collect, process, and use your personal data as described in this privacy policy and in compliance with the relevant data protection laws. Personal data is information that can be used to learn your identity.
During a simple visit to our website in which you neither contact us by e-mail nor e-mail a job application to us, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you wish to view our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display our website to you and to ensure stability and security:
- IP adress
- Date and time of the request
- Time zone difference from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
- Content of the request (specific page)
- Access status/HTTP status code
- Data volume transferred in each case
- Website from which the request comes
- Browser
- Operating system and its interface
- Language and version of the browser software
If you make use of the option to communicate with us, we may collect your e-mail address and your first and last name, as well as other data that you send us in the event of communication, with the data collected differing depending on the communication channel you use.
This data can include information such as your name, address, and telephone number.
Your data will not be disclosed to third parties unless we are legally obliged to do so (such as if we are requested to do so by an authority or court) or you have given us your consent for such disclosure.
We therefore only use your data for the purpose for which you have provided us with the data, such as to process the inquiry you sent to us by e-mail or postal mail.
LEGAL BASIS OF THE COLLECTION, PROCESSING, AND USE OF PERSONAL DATA
The legal basis for processing your personal data is our legitimate interest. The legitimate interest we have is in maintaining the functionality of our website and responding to your inquiries in this context.
DELETION OF DATA
Your data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected (after the end of your visit to our website or after processing your inquiry by e-mail/postal mail/telephone) unless deletion conflicts with any statutory retention obligations.
USE OF GOOGLE MAPS
On our website, we use a feature that enables the embedding of Google Maps, which are maps made available by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”).
This feature makes it possible to visually display geographical information and interactive maps. When making these maps available, Google also collects, processes, and uses the data of the visitors to the websites when users retrieve the pages on which the maps of Google Maps are integrated.
Your data may also be transferred to the USA. An adequacy decision by the European Commission is available for data transfers to the USA.
The processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR and the legitimate interest in the targeted and needs-based design of our website. For more information on the collection and use of data by Google, please refer to Google’s privacy policy at https://www.google.com/privacypolicy.html. In the Privacy Center there, you also have the option to change your settings so that you can manage and protect the data that is processed by Google.
USE OF CLOUDFLARE
Cloudfare is used to confirm that the visit is coming from a known device, even if you are accessing a website from a potentially insecure network (such as a café). We use the Cloudflare service to make our websites faster and more secure.
YOUR RIGHTS
With respect to us, you have the following rights regarding the personal data we collect about you:
- Right to information
- Right to rectification or deletion
- Right to restrict processing
- Right to object to processing
- Right to data portability
You also have the right to submit a complaint to a data protection supervisory authority about our processing of your personal data.
SECURITY
We have taken various technical and organizational measures to ensure that the data we collect and process is protected against unauthorized access, loss, destruction, and tampering. We comply with legal requirements for data protection, of course, but we would like to point out that no data transmission over the Internet is completely secure.
This means we cannot guarantee complete protection of the data and information you transmit via our website.
We reserve the right to change or adapt this privacy policy. We therefore ask you to occasionally check this privacy policy to ensure that you are aware of the latest version each time you access the website.
